SOMATIC THERAPY IN FORT LAUDERDALE
You may know your story and still sense there is more to hear.
You may understand your patterns, where they began, and why you respond the way you do. And still, something remains—held in the body, carried beneath the words, asking for another kind of attention.
Somatic psychotherapy brings the body into the conversation.
Together, we listen beneath the story—to sensation, emotion, breath, the nervous system, and the deeper intelligence of the body and heart. We become curious about what has been carried, what is speaking now, and what may be ready to move, change, or emerge.
I’m Jessica Garet, LCSW, a somatic psychotherapist and Heart Doula with more than 20 years of clinical experience. I offer somatic therapy in Fort Lauderdale for adults drawn to a deeper, more embodied way of listening, healing, and coming into relationship with themselves.
What Is Somatic Therapy?
Somatic therapy begins with a simple understanding: the body is always part of the conversation.
We experience life not only through our thoughts and stories, but through sensation, emotion, breath, movement, and the patterns our bodies carry.
Somatic therapy invites us to listen differently. Together, we listen beneath the story—to the body, the heart, and the deeper intelligence within us. We become curious about what is being communicated, what has been carried, and what is asking to be heard.
Is Somatic Therapy Right for Me?
You may be drawn to somatic therapy if you understand your patterns but still feel something hasn’t shifted—or if you sense that what you’re carrying lives somewhere deeper than words alone can reach.
You don’t need to know how to listen to your body before you begin. We learn to listen together.
