When Awakening Becomes Living

There are several moments in my life that, looking back now, I recognize as awakenings — each one revealing a deeper layer of consciousness, a greater remembering of the aliveness that lives and breathes and runs through the currents of everything that exists.

Aliveness, I’ve come to see, is not just a physical or third-dimensional experience — not limited to the movement of human, plant, or animal life. Aliveness is energy itself: always moving, always transforming, always alchemizing toward more. We come from an infinite source of energy — an infinite source of aliveness — to have a very specific experience in this human field. And when the body has lived what it came to live, it returns to that infinite source of all.

I haven’t had a near-death experience in the traditional sense. My heart hasn’t flatlined. I haven’t lost breath in the ways we often hear described. But I have known what it means to move through life not fully alive — to feel the soul’s pulse dimmed, muted beneath layers of fear, loss, and forgetting.

That began to change after moving from NYC to Florida, post-COVID, when something in me refused to keep dimming the light. It was as if my whole being said, enough. I could no longer deny the fullness of aliveness that we are.

But there were many steps along the way — gentle deaths and quiet resurrections — that prepared me for that moment.

From my earliest memories in utero, to my parents’ own near-death experiences, from little childhood accidents to the subtle and not-so-subtle traumas that cracked me open again and again, from the joy and grief of pregnancy and miscarriage — each one was an initiation.

At a certain point, your soul says: This is it.

There’s a track you’re on karmically, a moment when you will finally choose to embody and awaken the truth of who you are.

You will hear, sense, feel, and know that it is time to wake up once and for all.

When this arrived, I listened and made the conscious decision to live — truly live.

From that moment, everything changed.

The body became my teacher, the breath my guide, and consciousness my companion.

Awakening, I realized, is not an escape from life but a deep arrival into it.

It is the soul saying yes to being here — in all its tenderness, all its mystery, and all its glory.

From Awakening to Purpose

This awakening — this deep remembering of life moving through all things — is what fuels my passion and my soul’s purpose.

I am here to be an embodied healer, a Heart Doula, walking with souls who know what it’s like to be awakened by death.

Some of those deaths are quiet — the feeling of not being fully alive, of drifting through life without connection to the current of one’s being.

And some are more dramatic — the near-death encounters, the losses, the moments when spirit shakes us awake to remember more.

Because I have lived the spaces between life and death, I can recognize their language in others.

When I sit with someone, I can feel where the current of life has gone dormant, where energy has frozen in the body, where consciousness is waiting to be felt again.

I support others in reconnecting with that vital energy — helping them breathe, embody, and remember the living consciousness that has always been within them.

Sometimes I meet people before the body brings them to the edge — before spirit says, I will have to wake you now.

Other times, I meet them after the crossing — post-shock, post-loss, when they are tender and listening for what has been revealed.

Either way, my work is the same: to walk beside them, to breathe with them, and to help them embody more of the aliveness that is already theirs.

This is what it means to live awake — to become the vessel that both receives and transmits the pulse of consciousness itself.

The Invitation

We are all being invited — again and again — to awaken to the aliveness that is our birthright.

Sometimes gently, sometimes through the shaking of life itself.

If you are walking through one of these awakenings — if you are ready to listen to what your body and soul are asking of you — I welcome you to journey with me.

Together we breathe, feel, and listen for the life that has been waiting for you to say yes.
