My Story

Hi, I'm Jess Garet, the founder of AiRE Healing.

Over the past two decades, my professional journey has profoundly evolved. Each season of life has brought new joys and heart-breaking open moments, asking me to meet myself and discover how to listen to my emergence.

My role as a psychotherapist, while comfortably stable, imposed limitations on my full expression. Life pushed me to reconnect with my soul, rediscovering forgotten aspects of my divine essence.

Experiences that agitated my body, led me to pause many times and ask, what does this pain, ache, stuckness, void, or tension want to reveal to me? It led me to explore body-based and spiritual-based learnings and practices. It led me back home to my essence and awakened my latent creative talents.

Through being listened by the universal heart, I embraced the reminder of my I AM.

Today, I embody the roles of Heart Priestess and Light Doula, hosting collaborative listening journeys.

So, dear seeker, if you are ready to embark on a truly AWEsome journey, I extend a heartfelt invitation.

Let's delve into the profound depths of your being, honor the full spectrum of your expression, and carve the path toward your reclamation together.

  • About Somatic Experiencing

Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a therapy technique created by Dr. Peter Levine. It involves understanding how emotions exist in the body and nervous system. Sensation is like a language that the body uses to communicate with us. Somatic practices can teach you how to listen to these signals.

Using a combination of somatic tools, I guide my clients toward a deep presence and awareness of bodily sensations. This process is slow and gentle, allowing for the release of traumatic energy and associated emotions. Together, we will explore the messages that your body has to offer, giving you more space to express your true self.

  • About Breathwork

The breath is a truly powerful tool that is often underestimated, but it can be accessed at any time. With breathwork, one can loosen the grip of the rigid, logical mind and enter an altered state of consciousness with expanded awareness. This state can help release emotions that may be inaccessible in ordinary waking consciousness.

In my practice, I combine circular breathing with carefully curated music to enhance the experience. This technique can help you become fully present and connected to yourself, letting go of any preconceived notions about your experiences.

It's important to note that breathwork may bring up intense emotions or physical sensations. As a highly empathic and trauma-informed practitioner, I provide exceptional guidance and support throughout the breathwork process and during the integration phase.

Honoring the Origin of These Practices

These powerful tools and teachings have ancient roots, passed down through the lives of BIPOC. As an ambassador of this sacred wisdom, I aim to continue learning, listening, and elevating the voices of BIPOC healers. These methods are truly not mine to give, and I stand in full gratitude, support, and reciprocity.

“I have come to the conclusion that human beings are born with an innate capacity to triumph over trauma. I believe not only that trauma is curable, but that the healing process can be a catalyst for profound awakening—a portal opening to emotional and genuine spiritual transformation.”
